About Me

Hi, my name is Megan Malnar and I am a teacher, a lover of literature and expression, and a mom. I love milk chocolate, sour skittles, vanilla Dr. Peppers, movies, and exploring the world. I could talk about literature all day long, and I’ll read just about any book a friend recommends. My passion is teaching, training, mentoring, leading and supporting students as they accomplish skills they didn't know they could obtain!

My 13 years of experience in education brought me all around the world. After completing coursework from Texas A&M University, I had an amazing opportunity to student teach at an international school in Switzerland! My passion for teaching the nations was stirred, and so two years later I found myself in Zambia, a country in south central Africa. I developed and launched an education program for private schools in the compounds of Lusaka, the capital city. In the midst of creating policies and procedures, hiring staff, training teachers, and creating budgets, I adopted my handsome son, Eli! When his adoption was finalized, we traveled back to the U.S., and I taught Language Arts again in a suburb of Dallas for eight years. Over that time, my love of literature and training up the next generation grew exponentially!!

In all my experiences I’ve seen one thing to be true: students have an innate desire to learn. And I am so passionate to be the one to teach.
